The Glen Abbey
Golf Club in Oakville, Ontario is arguably the most famous
course in Canada. Over the past number of years it has
been the home of the Bell Canadian Open and has attracted
golfers from all around the world. It is one of the few
courses in the world to host a PGA Tour event, that is
still open for public play. Located just outside of Canada's
biggest city - Toronto- it is a short drive from most
centres in Southern Ontario.
Originally designed
by the legendary Jack Nicklaus, Glen Abbey is known for
its wide fairways and wicked undulating greens. This is
very much in keeping with the Nicklaus style of course
design. Its section of 'Valley Holes', 11 through 15 are
a remarkable example of using the local surroundings to
their fullest advantage.
