Some of the biggest names in golf have won the Canadian Open golf championship – Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, Walter Hagen, Tommy Armour, Arnold Palmer,Greg Norman and Tiger Woods.

The great Jack Nicklaus has never won this tournament, but has been runner-up a record 7 times.

The last Canadian to win the tournament was Pat Fletcher who won the tournament when he carded a 280 in 1954 at Point Grey.
